JOB DESCRIPTION

Margulies Perruzzi is an organization of talented architects and interior designers passionate about helping our clients in the worlds of workplace, healthcare, science, and real estate development. We are currently seeking a talented mid-level Interior Designer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our growing staff of creative design professionals. Candidates should be interested in Corporate Workplace design as well as Healthcare and Life Science projects. A broad range of experience is preferred. We offer a hybrid working environment based upon 3 days in the office and 2 days remote as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create fit-plans from basic programming information.

  • Take projects from approved fit-plans/project program through all phases of design including Schematic Design, Design Development & Construction Documents.

  • Review Submittals and RFIs in Construction Administration and provide appropriate responses.

  • Generate pre-design and programming questionnaires and presentations.

  • Document existing conditions as necessary for projects.

  • Create design presentations to convey design intent, project finishes, furniture selection and fixture approvals.

  • Work cooperatively in a team environment.

  • Work closely with Principal in Charge and project team to align design goals for each project.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

  • 5 to 10 years of experience as an Interior Designer, other experience will be considered.

  • NCIDQ, LEED, WELL, FITWELL Certification preferred but not required.

  • Extensive knowledge of finishes, materials, specifications and color selection processes.

  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Office Products (including Word & Power Point)

  • Strong Graphic Communication Skills

  • Proficiency in Lumion or Enscape preferred

  • Ability to clearly communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.

  • Ability to mentor and guide junior designers through a project process.

  • Display a willingness to learn
