Student Council Application
IIDA New England seeks to create a Student Council to join the Student Engagement Committee.
The Council would convene starting July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 for the upcoming board term (June 2026- June 2027).
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………
The Student Council is responsible for representing campus centers and student members at large within the chapter and:
Attend all professional Student Engagement committee meetings and acts professionally and responsibly as an active member
Student Council is more than welcome to attend meetings in-person, however, this is not a requirement given class schedules and meeting locations.
Serves as the liaison between the professional chapter, campus centers, and student members at-large and communicates regularly with all parties
Writes a brief monthly report following each committee meeting, covering all information of interests to students and sends it promptly to student members
Reports on students’ concerns and achievements at meetings
Encourages student participation in IIDA programs that are offered at both national and chapter levels
Assist the Student Engagement committee in coordinating and promoting chapter sponsored student programs and events such as Design Your Path
This is an opportunity for students to participate in committee meetings and leadership opportunities within IIDA NE.
Ideal candidates should have a strong passion for design education and campus outreach, and seek to enhance their leadership skills and involvement with IIDA NE. If you are interested in joining a fun group of professionals immersed in the New England design community, you are encouraged to submit an application by April 3, 2026.
Questions can be directed to Bri Dazio, VP of Student Engagement at bri.dazio@perkinswill.com
We look forward to hearing from you!
