What is your strongest personal quality?: Strong communicator. What skill set are you most proud of professionally?: My ability to look at a project, problem, or challenge from both high level/big picture viewpoint, as well as, focused and detail oriented viewpoint. What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?: Crayons and Coloring Books What do you hope to accomplish as an IIDA Emerging Leader?: Build upon my existing leadership framework and identify how I can push forward my mentoring and networking skills. What's your go-to for de-stressing?: Putting on some good music or meeting up with friends/family. Revit, CAD, or Sketchup?: Revit, although, it would be great to have a “hybrid” Revit/Sketchup – perhaps it could be called “Rev Up”? Are you usually early or late?: Early… usually. What three things are in your bag?: Wallet, phone, and lip balm What is your favorite part of being an IIDA member?: Being a part of extensive network of colleagues and peers focused on improving how people experience their built environment. Why did you choose to become an Interior Designer?: As a child I was always passionate about art. I’d spend hours as a three-year-old sitting in the hallway with my giant bucket of crayons doing my best to “stay inside the lines.” I completed two high school courses in interior design and realized that the subject would allow me to balance my creative side with the analytical/pragmatic side.
