What is your strongest personal quality?: Ambitious
What skill set are you most proud of professionally?: I’m proud that I’m a strong team player who embraces the challenge of working collaboratively to come up with the most creative, but also appropriate, solutions for different design challenges.
What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?: That’s a tough one—it would have to either be my Easy Bake Oven or Lincoln Logs
What do you hope to accomplish as an IIDA Emerging Leader?: I hope to become more confident in my leadership and professional skills.
What's your go-to for de-stressing?: At work, I’ll typically take a quick break to browse for new products or inspiration images for a project. At home, turning on an episode of The Office usually does the trick.
Revit, CAD, or Sketchup?: Revit
Are you usually early or late?: To be honest, somewhat of both but I always try to be early if I can
What three things are in your bag?: Keys, business cards, and some sort of snack
What is your favorite part of being an IIDA member?: I’ve learned that being a part of IIDA is the best way to build your network. I’m constantly meeting new people in the industry whether it’s through a committee, at a CEU event, or at a social outing.
Why did you choose to become an Interior Designer?: I was pursuing a dream that started back in middle school where I would draw floor plans for million dollar houses. Now healthcare design peaks my interest more; being able to positively influence a person’s experience in an environment (of which they are generally in during a time of stress or anxiety) makes me love and truly appreciate what I do every day.
