About Hartford City Center

The Hartford City Center (HCC) is an active group looking to bring Connecticut's Interior Designers together through professional, educational and community activities.  Our mission is to provide the design community with programs to support their growth as a professional; starting with a presence in our local universities with an IIDA student chapter and mentorship programs, to recent graduates and seasoned professionals looking to maintain an edge in a changing market.

We believe in giving back to our community through philanthropic events, like our Holiday Gala that provide gifts to children through the Covenant to Care, and our creative events...because we are naturally creative people...that provide donations to businesses like Hands on Hartford and Cradles to Crayons.

We are a passionate group always looking for new ideas to share with our members.  If you would like to be a part of our community or have questions about the Hartford City Center, please feel free to reach out our Vice President of the HCC, Amanda Cleveland.

Programs at Hartford City Center

Professional Development

Designers can get CEUs during the many lunch and learn presentations offered at our companies.  But what we really need are seminars that help us become better professionals.  From learning how to deal with difficult personalities to transitioning into a leadership position.  The Hartford City Center wants to provide you the content you need to succeed.  Tell us how we can help you evolve!  Contact the City Center to see what events are on the calendar or suggest valuable program content. To our Industry members in the Hartford Area: don't forget to add your CEUs to our new CEU Database!

As a professional, you can become a student mentor or sponsor a student membership.  A student, you can become a member and gain access to a wealth of knowledge and support; perhaps even meet your future career connection.  Contact the City Center to learn how you can be more involved in the life a future design professional.

Hartford City Center Volunteer

The Hartford City center is always looking for new and fresh ideas and welcomes anyone that would like to be more involved with our program content.  Chair an event, run a subcommittee or help with day-to-day tasks that help keep the city center running.  Contact the City Center to find out how we can put your skills to use.
